We are seeking a

highly motivated, detail-oriented, and hard-working

Kennel Attendant to join our team. This is a physically demanding, outdoor-based role where you will help oversee all aspects of daily kennel operations and ensure the safety, health, and enrichment of our dogs.

The Ideal Candidate

Loves dogs and has breed knowledge (sled dog experience is an asset) Enthusiastic, dependable, and positive Physically fit and energetic, with a love for the outdoors Able to work independently and as part of a team Comfortable working in all weather conditions Committed to high cleanliness and sanitation standards Experience with multiple dogs (beyond personal ownership) preferred Prior kennel management or veterinary experience is an asset

Key Responsibilities

Provide daily love, care, feeding, and enrichment for sled dogs Maintain daily cleaning and sanitation routines Monitor dog health and administer medications as needed Ensure safety standards, procedures, and protocols are always met Maintain kennel supplies inventory Communicate clearly and professionally with staff Use and maintain building equipment, supplies, and dog gear properly Assist with special projects, events, and promotions as required Set a positive example for co-workers with professionalism and punctuality

Job Requirements

Legally able to work in Canada Current First Aid & CPR certification Must be active, energetic, and outdoor-loving with the highest standards in dog care

Compensation & Schedule

Wage:

$18.00-$19.00/hour (based on experience)

Additional Pay:

Bonus pay, overtime pay

Schedule:

10-hour shifts, 4 days on / 3 days off, weekends & holidays required Work Location: In person, Canmore, AB
