We are seeking a professional Karaoke Host to lead engaging, well-coordinated entertainment experiences for our guests. This position requires strong interpersonal skills, confident stage presence, and the ability to maintain a smooth, welcoming atmosphere throughout the night. The ideal candidate combines friendly customer service with reliable technical competence and a commitment to teamwork.
Key Responsibilities
Ensure an exceptional guest experience
by greeting participants, managing song requests efficiently, and encouraging an inclusive, comfortable environment for all performers.
Collaborate effectively with staff,
including servers, bartenders, and management, to maintain seamless event flow and timely service.
Operate audio/visual equipment
such as microphones, speakers, mixers, and digital karaoke platforms, ensuring consistent quality throughout the event.
Maintain a professional stage environment
through clear announcements, organized transitions, and careful oversight of performer rotation.
Demonstrate adaptability
in response to changing crowd levels and shifting event priorities.
Uphold venue standards
by reinforcing safety guidelines, managing guest conduct appropriately, and supporting an enjoyable atmosphere, which includes end-of-shift cleaning.
Support event logistics
through setup, breakdown, and routine equipment checks.
Qualifications
Strong verbal communication skills and the ability to confidently lead a room.
Previous experience in hospitality, entertainment, or guest-facing roles. (Experience in high-volume licensed rooms an asset.)
Proven ability to work collaboratively and calmly in a fast-paced environment.
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and special events as required, up to 3 am.
Valid Serving It Right certificate an asset.
