Canada North Environmental Services (CanNorth) is a First Nation-owned environmental services firm with an established track record and a highly respected reputation. CanNorth has a proven expertise in communication and trust building between Indigenous, local communities, and industrial developments, and is looking to increase capacity in the Human Environment Division. CanNorth is seeking a highly motivated person to work with our talented and multidisciplinary team in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. Responsibilities in this position will include:

  • Conducting research to inform social, health, and land use studies and reporting related to various aspects of environmental impact assessment.
  • Record keeping, data management, and facilitation support for rights-holder and stakeholder engagement activities.
  • Supporting design and facilitation of community-based and community-led research.
  • Developing clear language materials, reports and presentations.
Requirements:
  • A university degree in the social or environmental sciences or related discipline or equivalent experience.
  • Excellent research, written, and communication skills.
  • Must hold a valid driver\xe2\x80\x99s license.
  • Field work and travel (including remote or isolated areas) is required.
  • Ability to meet tight deadlines working independently with minimal supervision as well as within a team environment.
To be successful, applicants must have superior interpersonal skills, be dedicated to high-quality results, and be able to correspond with clients, stakeholders and rights-holders in a professional manner.
