We are looking for a highly capable Junior Project Manager to take ownership of complex, large-scale construction projects. In this role, you will plan and deliver multi-million-dollar developments, manage relationships with clients and stakeholders, and provide guidance to junior team members. You will also contribute to shaping Vasto's project delivery standards, while ensuring quality, safety, and sustainability on every project.
This role is well-suited to a seasoned construction professional who enjoys high levels of responsibility, strategic decision-making, and leading projects from inception through to completion.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the full project lifecycle, from pre-construction and permitting through to completion and final handover.
Prepare and manage project budgets, schedules, and delivery strategies to ensure efficiency and profitability.
Administer contracts, negotiate with vendors and subcontractors, and oversee all procurement activities.
Implement sustainable building practices, including mass timber, modular construction, and energy-efficient solutions.
Use BIM and other project management tools to coordinate consultants, site personnel, and key stakeholders.
Supervise and mentor junior project managers, site superintendents, and cross-functional project teams.
Maintain strong client relationships by acting as the primary point of contact throughout the project.
Ensure full compliance with health, safety, environmental, and quality standards on all sites.
Provide regular reports to senior leadership on project status, key risks, and financial performance.
About You
Experience
: 10+ years as a Local Construction Project Manager in construction, including experience leading multi-family residential, commercial, or institutional projects.
Technical Skills
: Proficiency with BIM, project scheduling, budgeting, and cost-control software.
Leadership
: Proven ability to lead large teams, resolve conflicts, and mentor emerging talent.
Knowledge
: Strong understanding of construction methods, permitting processes, and sustainable building practices.
Education
: Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Building Science, or related field. Professional certifications (PMP, P.Eng., or Gold Seal) are considered assets.
