POSITION OVERVIEW:
This role will be responsible for supporting the development and the performance of custom content partnerships for Globe Content Studio, the content-marketing division of The Globe and Mail. The Junior Media Strategist will report to the Media Strategy leads and the Social-Media Strategist, working cross-functionally alongside sales, content strategists, creative and product. The candidate will learn how to translate client marketing briefs into strategic solutions, collaborating on client proposal development, campaign set-up and reporting.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Support proposal development for custom content and multiplatform partnership opportunities that leverage the Globe\xe2\x80\x99s full suite of products and opportunities, including
  • Participate in brainstorm meetings to determine solutions that address client objectives
  • Liaise with internal stakeholders (i.e. audience, product, creative) to curate assets that support the Media Strategy Leads in building proposals
  • Work alongside the Social Strategist to set up and oversee performance of social media campaigns that drive traffic to and/or distribute custom content for advertising partners of The Globe
  • Support the development of mid and post-campaign reports for custom content campaigns, including report collection, populating templates, and analysing results to recommend performance improvements
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Degree/diploma in advertising/marketing preferred
  • Curious, staying abreast of digital marketing and social media trends
  • Highly organized with outstanding attention to detail
  • Familiarity with The Globe and Mail preferred
  • Familiarity with social media platforms such as Meta, Twitter, LinkedIn, TikTok, Reddit, YouTube etc.
  • Enthusiastic about working within a team environment and able to work collaboratively as well as independently
  • Agile, with a passion for continuous development and ability to shift priorities to meet client requests
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
