OVERVIEW:

Quigley Electric Ltd. is a family owned and operated business that has been providing electrical services in and around Okotoks, AB since 1971. We are currently looking to add a motivated Junior Estimator to our team.

The Junior Estimator will assist in preparation of accurate and competitive cost estimates for various projects. Your role involves analyzing drawings, and collaborating with suppliers and subcontractors to gather necessary information. You will work closely with other team members to ensure all project aspects are accurately captured and contribute to the overall success of projects.

ROLES/REQUIREMENTS:

Assist in the preparation of detailed cost estimates for projects, including materials, labor, equipment, and subcontractor costs; Gather and analyze data from plans, specifications, and proposals to accurately estimate the scope of work required for each project; Maintain organized records of estimates, contracts and project documentation; Perform research for potential work (RFQ), and obtain contacts; Participate in site visits to assess project conditions and gather additional information to refine estimates.

QUALIFICIATIONS:

Prior experience in quoting commercial, petroleum, and residential jobs; Ability to read and interpret drawings and technical specifications; Strong time management skills with the ability to meet tight deadlines; Experience using estimating software/programs (Viewpoint considered an asset); Ability to order material and liaise with various vendors to obtain best pricing; Working knowledge of Excel; Strong verbal and written skills.
