Junior Dispatcher

will assist in coordinating and optimizing trucking operations to ensure timely deliveries and efficient fleet management. This role is ideal for someone who is detail-oriented, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and is eager to learn the ins and outs of the transportation industry.

Responsibilities

Assist in scheduling and dispatching drivers for local and regional deliveries Communicate effectively with drivers, customers, and team members to ensure smooth operations. Monitor truck movements and provide real-time updates to customers when required. Help track and manage driver logs, hours of service (HOS), and compliance with regulations. Assist in resolving any logistical issues or delays that may arise. Maintain accurate records of dispatch activities, including manifests and delivery confirmations. Support senior dispatchers and operations managers with administrative tasks as needed Assist with customs entry and permitting

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent (post-secondary education in logistics or a related field is a plus). Basic understanding of transportation/logistics is preferred but not required (training will be provided). Strong communication and problem-solving skills. Ability to multitask and work under pressure in a fast-paced environment Proficient in basic computer applications (Microsoft Office, email, etc. Willingness to learn dispatch software and industry regulations Positive attitude, reliability, and a team-player mindset.

Pay: $18.00-$25.00 per hour
