We are looking for someone that we can rely on to produce accurate and complete fabrication designs for our custom air handling equipment. Our comprehensive training program allows new engineers to grow quickly and excel. Students in their final year, or those with up to 2 years of experience are welcome to apply. About Us:

Haakon designed and manufactured equipment is used in hospitals, pharmaceutical laboratories, microchip manufacturers, universities, automotive manufacturing plants, and many other institutional, industrial, and commercial facilities. We strive for excellence by continuing to invest in our facilities, product, and most of all, people. Mechanical Design Engineer Responsibilities:

  • Design custom air handling equipment using in house software and industry standard tools including AutoCAD, Inventor, and ANSYS
  • Set-up and run FEA simulations to evaluate custom designs
  • Create design packages with sheet metal parts to be produced by CNC machines
  • Work with our applications engineering team to implement customer specifications
  • Provide technical support to our production staff
  • Complete R&D projects to advance our product and improve our design process
  • Produce designs for structural and sheet metal components
  • Design equipment around integrated piping, electrical, and controls systems

Essential Qualifications/Skills:
  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering
  • Well organized with good attention to detail
  • Creative problem solver with good spatial reasoning
  • Technically proficient in design and prototyping
  • Familiarity with AutoCAD, Inventor, ANSYS and Excel is a plus
