As a proud plant-based manufacturer with an emphasis on organic and non-GMO ingredient sourcing, we boast a reduced-footprint operation compared to conventional food manufacturers. We are a customer driven organization catering to special diets and allergies while focusing on sustainable agriculture and the green food industry. In this role you will assist us in managing the customer demand of our plant-based products by support our customers with any inquiries; reviewing, preparing, and entering customer orders; educating and upselling customers on various products available; ensuring the safe and timely pickup and delivery of customer shipments and providing an overall positive customer service experience for our retailers and foodservice partners across the USA and Canada to encourage repeat business. The Junior Customer Service Coordinator role is fast paced, involves a high degree of customer service, sales and organizational skills and is the best launching pad for a career in our company! On a day-to-day basis we will count on you to:

  • Encourage new customer relationships & develop existing customer relationships via phone and email
  • Field a high volume of customer phone calls; Communicate regularly with customers to handle all inquiries, discuss purchasing trends, educate/upsell on products available, remind them of order delivery timelines and provide order/delivery updates.
  • Maintain knowledge of customer requests and purchasing trends while updating customer profiles.
  • Help educate customers on products, unique selling points & ingredients.
  • Investigate & resolve customer issues.
  • Process customer order requests/purchase orders via phone and email in a timely and accurate manner (data entry)
  • Arrange transportation & deliveries; Liaise and negotiate with suppliers to gather freight quotes, prepare courier waybills, organize dock pickup schedules & arrange delivery appointments as needed.
  • Coordinate with warehouse & shipping to identify & track missed pickups & deliveries. Troubleshoot issues, re-schedule pickups/deliveries, provide solutions to ensure on time delivery with little to no errors.
  • Prepare/submit administrative and customs shipping documentation.
  • Assist the Customer Service & Administrative Support Team with any other administration/customer service duties as needed to exceed customer expectations.
Our Junior Customer Service Coordinator Must:
  • Have proven experience providing exceptional customer service! (Ensuring great customer communication & experience is our #1 priority!)
  • Be a recent graduate within the past 3 years from an applicable college or university program or have work experience that demonstrates responsibility, a strong customer orientation and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Have outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
  • Have a keen eye for detail and be able to point out needle in a haystack type errors.
  • Data entry & computer skills. Experience with Microsoft Word, Outlook & Excel is a must.
  • Possess strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Be fluent in verbal/written English and have a friendly and helpful demeanor.
  • Have the ability to think critically and on your toes (When issues happen, we need to react quickly, so resolutions occur without affecting customer deadlines).
  • Be able to work in a dynamic and fast paced environment.
