Responsibilities:
Provide all Ground Effects LTD plants with technical support + Remote monitoring of PLC programs and sensor functions + Install and update PLC program updates to legacy systems bringing them up to date with

current standard practices
+ Offers support and guidance to on-site maintenance staff / plant leadership during initial

equipment installation as well as ongoing operational support
+ Troubleshooting system errors
+ Assist Quality with Work Instructions for manufacturing or rework activities.
+ Input of manufacturing (tooling, Assembly and Manufacturing Test equipment) estimates to

quotations to our potential customers
Develop and install machine programs using automation software and custom coding languages + Competent in Studio 5000, RS Logic, Fanuc or similar + Design, Development & Commissioning of Automated Systems
+ Testing automated systems for safety, efficiency and reliability
+ Oversee the successful installation of PLC programs
+ Document development processes
+ Assist with ensuring the automation process is functional and efficiently designed
+ Determine and perform equipment test criteria prior to finalizing installations
Representing and enforcing DFMEA in design reviews. + Representing manufacturing in DFM/A's. + Identification of DFM/A improvements to existing products to include a cost benefit analysis

to allow senior evaluation and approval.
+ Establish and maintain work standards for product costing and productivity measurement.
Leading PFMEA / Control Plan creation and updates (with supplier participation). + Creation of Control Plans or supervision of supplier Control Plan creation for manufacturing
or rework activities.
+ Creation of assembly flow charts or supervision of supplier assembly flow charts creation

for manufacturing or rework activities.
+ Create Engineering Change Notices (ECN) as related to manufacturing process

improvements.
+ Develop and optimize work flow in cell layout to streamline material flow while providing

ergonomic work areas
+ Conduct work flow analysis and make recommendations for improvement in material

handling and shop layout

Requirements:
Minimum Education Required: PLC technical certification Preferred: + Electrical and mechanical engineering experience + Bachelor's degree in software engineering, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, or a similar field
At least 3 year's experience as a PLC programmer required 2+ years working in robotics/automation process required Detailed knowledge of PLC automation software and coding languages required Preferred: + 5+ years engineering experience in automotive
manufacturing with robotics/automation.
+ In-depth knowledge of manufacturing and mechanical

processes.
+ Participation in a product development team from

inception to manufacturing launch including evidence of

the imposition of DFM/A into the design.
Job Specific Skills Minimum Required: + Knowledge of the requirements of IATF16949 + Knowledge and execution experience of APQP, PPAP,

PFMEA, Control Plans, and Process Flow.
+ The ability to produce reports/presentations to

communicate status of assigned projects/tasks.
+ Quality Control background including problem solving and root cause analysis
+ Sound technical background (hands-on) with logical deductive reasoning approach
+ Interest in developing technical skills through both internal and external training
+ Support continuous improvement in the department and company as a whole
+ Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
+ Must be able to work with little supervision; must be self-directed
Job Specific Skills Preferred: + Proven ability to create and execute project plans that have achieved the identified targets. + Knowledge of CAD
+ Demonstrated organizational skills with strong oral and written communication abilities
+ Expertise in DFM/A techniques.
+ Expertise in Lean Manufacturing Techniques.
+ Exceptional organizational abilities with task prioritization, multi-tasking, use of timelines and time management techniques
