Responsibilities

We are establishing habitat banks nationwide to ensure organisations have access to BNG units. The company has grown substantially over the past 18 months, and we are now recruiting a talented individual to join the accounts team. This role will offer opportunities to gain experience, progress within the company and allow the individual to continue working/work towards an accounting qualification. Key responsibilities will include:

  • Assist with preparing and issuing sales invoices and credit notes and maintaining the sales ledger
  • Assist with credit control
  • Assist with purchase ledger, ensuring all transactions are processed accurately and timely
  • Assist with preparing payment runs
  • Assist with VAT returns, nominal, and bank reconciliations
  • Supporting the preparation of management accounts and month-end duties
  • General filing
  • Punctual in dealing with email correspondence
  • To assist with any other ad hoc duties as required
Qualifications and skills preferred:
  • Proficiency in Excel and Word
  • Previous experience in an accounting or bookkeeping role
  • Experience using Xero
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
  • Proactive, responsive, and reliable
  • Excellent organisation and time management skills
