Our firm is seeking Junior Architectural Designers with a minimum 3 years of experience, who works well within a team and independently and who are keen on learning about mixed-use residential high-rise projects. In this position the successful candidates will support our design teams in both Calgary and Toronto, however, we are looking at expanding primarily in our Calgary studio. Applicants working in the GTA will be considered. The ideal candidate will have graduated from a recognized architectural program and have strong communication, design, graphic software, and Revit skills. You should be an active team player, approachable, and eager to learn how Kirkor develops design ideas into exciting viable residential developments. Job Summary: Responsibilities: \xc2\xb7 Understand and translate design into technical documents \xc2\xb7 Develop strong presentation and early design studies \xc2\xb7 Prepare 2D and 3D presentation and design drawings \xc2\xb7 Strong ability to communicate design ideas into graphics \xc2\xb7 Assist in client, consultant and contractor project information coordination \xc2\xb7 Conduct product, materials, and code research \xc2\xb7 Track all project data in electronic files \xc2\xb7 Other tasks and duties as required Qualifications: \xc2\xb7 Minimum of 3 years of post-graduate working experience \xc2\xb7 Graduate of an accredited architectural program \xc2\xb7 Strong command of the English language both written and oral \xc2\xb7 Strong freehand design and drafting skills \xc2\xb7 Creative thinker who can work both independently and as a team \xc2\xb7 Basic knowledge of architectural building structures and systems \xc2\xb7 Basic understanding of the ABC and OBC \xc2\xb7 Proficiency in graphic software programs, Rhino, Lumion, Adobe Creative Suite, InDesign, and Photoshop \xc2\xb7 Strong working knowledge of Revit in a file sharing project environment. Some AutoCAD experience would be an asset. \xc2\xb7 Proficiency in MS Office, including Word, Excel and Outlook \xc2\xb7 Excellent visual and graphic presentation skills with proficiency in 3D modelling software \xc2\xb7 Ability to meet deadlines while working on multiple projects This position is intended to commence immediately, is full-time in office, and includes 2 weeks\xe2\x80\x99 vacation, Kirkor\xe2\x80\x99s benefit package, with an optional RRSP package.
