Job Profile: Analyst, Pricing

Reports to: Pricing Lead, Retail and Merchandising Data Products and Service

We have an exciting opportunity for a Pricing Analyst to join our Central Pricing Team. You will be responsible for analyzing competitive pricing, pricing execution, and monitoring of price positioning in all markets across Canada in partnership with Pricing Managers, Pricing Analytics, and Category Teams. The Pricing Analyst provides reporting and analysis of price change proposals based on both competitive and cost changes. The Pricing Analyst then works closely with Pricing Managers and Category Directors to determine appropriate action, considering impacts to price index, profitability, and tonnage growth prior to execution.

What You\'ll Do:

Monitor price index trends and competitor behavior, conduct analysis to identify issues and opportunities, and effectively communicate recommendations to Category Director and Pricing Manager.
Implement retail pricing changes and other pricing maintenance duties in the SAP environment across relevant Sales Banners and Pricing Zones
Support projects focused on meeting a stated business need for the Business Unit (i.e. ad hoc pricing opportunity reviews)
Ensure competitive pricing audits are accurate and provide feedback to Pricing Analytics, Pricing Managers and conduct store visits as needed
Other duties may be assigned based on business priorities

What You Bring:

Post-secondary education in Math, Economics, Business Administration or previous pricing or merchandising experience
Detail oriented, strong communication abilities, adaptable to change and able to foresee recommend process changes and assist with implementation as needed
High proficiency with MS Office (Excel functions, VBA, Pivots)
Strong data management skills and ability to generate relevant business insights
Excellent communication skills, written and verbal
Highly organized, able to prioritize multiple projects effectively and work independently in a fast-paced environment
