JS 318 - Restorative and Community Justice
This course will examine, in depth, the restorative justice paradigm and its applications. The development of justice alternatives to criminalizing approaches will be explored. The concepts and services and emerging roles for the community and victims will be analyzed.
Position Requirements
The successful candidate must:
hold a MA or PhD in field or equivalent discipline; PhD is preferred;
a record of effective teaching at the post-secondary level;
have experience managing classroom and online technologies used by the University of Regina (including UR Courses [Moodle])
Physical Demands Pay Grade Faculty Sessional Salary Range Per URFA Collective Agreement Status Term Work Hours
The instructor will deliver the course on campus face-to-face on Mondays 7:00-9:45pm. Instructors are expected to have one office hour per week.
Course Modality On Campus - Face to Face Course Dates and Time Mondays -1900-2145 Duration (if Term/Temporary) January 1, 2026 - April 30, 2026. Sessional Lecturers may have preparatory work to do before the start date and sometimes may have to deal with grading tasks after the termination date.
