ANTH 203 - Social Organization



An analysis of the political, economic, and ideological aspects of social organization, with particular emphasis on kinship, gender, and social stratification in non-industrialized societies.
Position Requirements
The successful candidate must

hold a MA in Anthropology or a closely related field; have a record of effective teaching at the post-secondary level; have experience managing classroom and online technologies used by the University of Regina (including UR Courses [Moodle])

Physical Demands Pay Grade Faculty Sessional Salary Range As per URFA Collective Agreement Status Term Work Hours
The instructor will deliver the course on campus face-to-face on Tuesday and

Thursdays from 08:30-09:45. Instructors are expected to have one office hour per

week.
Course Modality On Campus, Face-to-Face Course Dates and Time Tuesdays, Thursdays - 08:30-09:45 Duration (if Term/Temporary) January 1 - April 30, 2026. Sessional Lecturers may have preparatory work to do before the start date and sometimes may have to deal with grading tasks after the termination date.
