Job Description
:In anticipation of future needs Robert Half is currently seeking Jr. Buyer throughout the Calgary region.As a Jr. Buyer, your day-to-day responsibilities may include, but not be limited to:
- Facilitate procurement through proactive follow-ups with suppliers
- Monitor lead times on a regular basis to ensure timely delivery of materials
- Arrange and follow up on quotations
- Coordinate between local and international trades
- Timely update PO and PR status reports
- Conduct weekly follow-ups and manage the reports effectively
- Maintain a high volume of active local vendors
- Ad hoc duties as requested
- Proven experience of 2+ years as a buyer or expediter in Procurement & Supply Chain
- In-depth knowledge of supply chain terminologies
- Exceptional communication skills
- Intermediate Microsoft Office Suite
- High attention to details
- Highly organized
- Strong relationship management skills
- Available to start immediately
