Atlantica is seeking qualified candidates for a Buyer in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia. The Buyer is a key member of our Procurement team, reporting directly to the Director of Project Services. Responsibilities:Reporting to the Director of Project Services and working in an exciting and collaborative environment, you will:

• Interface directly with Operational Team members, respond to procurement requests in a timely manner, obtain pricing from suppliers, complete and issue purchase orders to vendors
• Manage open purchase orders and maintain purchase order integrity in line with ERP system
• Build, maintain and manage relationships with key vendors
• Coordinate drawings and documentation between vendor and Project Managers for equipment purchases
• Generate, maintain, and publish monthly reports as required for commodity tracking, cost savings opportunities, material price volatility, supplier scorecards etc.
• Support with review and negotiation of contract terms and conditions with vendors
• Mitigate price increases and find alternate suppliers where necessary
• Provide follow up on purchased items, investigating back orders and non-compliance issues

Who are we looking for?Education and Experience:

• Post-secondary education in Business or related field or equivalent work experience
• Experience in purchasing or procurement is considered an asset
• Experience working in commercial, institutional or industrial construction environment is considered an asset

• Self-motivated, able to work under pressure and adaptive to changing priorities

Job Details:

• Permanent, full-time
• 37.5 hours per week
• Monday to Friday
