Your role


We are currently looking for an experienced Reporter to work primarily on CBC/ Radio-Canada?s digital platforms.

More specific duties are as follows:

• 
  Generate story ideas for news items, reports, interviews and in-depth features.
• 
  Ensure that your journalism complies with CBC/Radio-Canada?s Journalistic Standards and Practices.
• 
  Produce copy, video, audio, photos and other digital elements in tandem with the digital teams.
• 
  Have sound knowledge of the various digital formats and best practices.
• 
  Produce multiple versions of your story for CBC/Radio-Canada?s various platforms (website, social media, radio, TV, etc.), as needed.

We are looking for a candidate with the following:


A) Qualifications:

• 
  Bachelor?s degree or the equivalent.

B) Skills:

• 
  Strong knowledge of news and current-events.
• 
  Excellent writing skills.
• 
  Understanding of CBC/Radio-Canada?s Journalistic Standards and Practices.
• 
  Proficiency with digital formats.
• 
  Proficiency with content management tools.
• 
  Knowledge of audio, video recording and editing functions.
• 
  Knowledge of audience data.
• 
  Valid driver?s license.
• 
  Advanced oral proficiency, intermediate writing proficiency and advanced reading proficiency in English.
• 
  Strong desire to live and promote the values of diversity and an inclusive and respectful work culture.
