CGI is looking for a dynamic, enthusiastic, and hard-working individual to fill a Business Support Lead role in an Application Management Services environment. This role is responsible for overseeing service delivery and managing on-demand service requests relating to a portfolio of government applications and websites. The successful candidate will work with other Business Support Leads to provide guidance and leadership to our Ministry client partners, and work closely with internal operations and delivery teams to provide high-quality services and solutions.

This role requires exceptional client communication skills, and the ability to manage a number of complex tasks in parallel, within a dynamic environment. Many of the applications and websites under CGI's support are critical to the delivery of health care services within BC.

Your future duties and responsibilities:

  • Serve as a primary client contact for a subset of client business areas, and be responsible for that portfolio's line-of-business applications
  • Oversee, monitor and report on work performed by the service delivery teams in supporting the portfolio's applications, and ensure that contractual service levels are achieved
  • Build strong relationships with clients in order to better understand and proactively respond to their needs, promote CGI full services offerings, and help our clients meet their strategic and tactical objectives
  • Act as outside agent of change for our clients in order to improve services and productivity on an ongoing basis.
  • Manage the software development lifecycle for small-to-medium sized software enhancement projects, from requirements analysis and estimation phases, through to design development, implementation, and steady state operations, in successful collaboration with delivery teams
  • Work closely with architecture and delivery teams to identify areas for continuous improvement
  • Ensure that documentation is kept up to date
Required qualifications to be successful in this role:
  • Outstanding written, presentation, and communication skills
  • Exceptional listening skills, and the ability to understand and synthesize a client's needs
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
  • Highly organized; able to multi-task and manage time efficiently
  • A keen eye for detail and quality
  • Self-motivated; can work independently
Desired qualifications:
  • Experience with systems development lifecycle, methodologies (including waterfall and agile_, estimating, and architecture
  • Knowledge and experience relating to ITIL-based application management services
  • Prior experience that demonstrates a propensity for leadership and the ability to function in a critically important environment
  • Undergraduate degree within Business, Engineering, or Computer Science domains, or equivalent
  • Prior experience in BC Government and/or Healthcare IT is considered favorable
