The Senior IT Project Manager is responsible for organizing and leading IT projects to advance Cronos Group's Systems and infrastructure, providing strategic and operational value companywide. The Senior IT Project Manager ensures assigned IT projects remain on schedule by planning, developing, and directing cross-functional stakeholders. This role involves working closely with business and functional leaders, subject matter experts, stakeholders, and third-party vendors.

What you'll be doing:

  • Serve as project leader with multiple complex IT projects; maintain the day-to-day operation of projects ensuring that all projects are reliably delivered on time, on budget and with a high standard of quality
  • Engage IT and senior business stakeholders and other strategic partners to support the functional design and delivery of enterprise solutions that span multiple technologies and disciplines
  • Define and rollout policies and practices on business requirement definitions and documentation, using industry best practice, Agile tools and techniques
  • Facilitate root cause analysis, decision-making, issue resolution, and consensus across internal and/or external stakeholders to identify and mitigate project risks, ensuring solutions meet business needs
  • Hold business stakeholders accountable for deliverables and work with them to assess and course correct as necessary to resolve issues
  • Track key project milestones and proactively adjust project plans and/or resources to meet conditions and changes in project scope
  • Serve as a resource to team members and internal/external stakeholders on more complex assignments/projects
  • Maintain knowledge on current and emerging technology developments/trends, assesses the impact, and collaborates with management to incorporate new trends and developments in current and future solutions
  • Manage and enhance organizational initiatives by positively influencing and supporting change management and/or departmental/enterprise initiatives
  • Develop and execute communications to all stakeholders including leading and facilitating team meetings, status reports, project updates, risk identification, and impacts to scope, budget, and resources of the project
  • Develop mitigation plans for all risks and carries out mitigation plans as needed
  • Execute the SDLC and/or Agile methodologies and governing processes consistently
  • Develop and track the budget for all technology and\\or business driven projects
  • Create clear and attainable project deliverables, based on project requirements, translates technical tasks into understandable tasks and milestones
  • Utilizing project management expertise, manage constraints of the project parameters (cost, time, scope, quality)
  • Oversee creation of detailed project plan documents and task-level assignments for large, highly complex projects with cross organization impact, as well as smaller operation projects, sometimes simultaneously
  • Influence and support the strategic IT roadmap for the company; working closely with the Head of Global Information Systems, lead efforts with the business and IT peers to define, develop and maintain strategic and tactical technology plans that support business goals
  • Understand business architecture and technical solution architecture, working with IT and external partners to evaluate and implement new technologies
You'll need to have:
  • Bachelor's degree in business management, information systems, computer science or other related field required
  • 8+ years of progressive IT and project management experience leading and delivering on all aspects of technical projects
  • 5+ years' experience with technology projects supporting ERP, Infrastructure and Cloud Applications
  • 5+ years' experience documenting procedures and creating technical Specs for internal technology team
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Project and Visio required
  • Experience and working knowledge with various business applications and systems (SAP, SharePoint, CRM, Workday)
  • Deep knowledge of project management methodologies, PMP or similar certification is strongly preferred
  • Sound leadership and interpersonal skills to pull employees together and build cohesive project teams
  • A strategic mindset, capable of connecting business outcomes to technology solutions
  • Proven problem solving, analytical, and decision-making skills
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills; capable of communicating technical and non-technical information effectively to all levels of the organization
  • Comfortable presenting to large and diverse audiences, including senior leadership
  • Superb organizational skills, time management, goal setting and task prioritization abilities
  • A change agent with solid influence and negotiating skills to drive initiatives forward
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with co-workers to gain their trust
  • Self-motivation, capable of taking initiative to proactively problem solve and identify solutions with minimal oversight
  • Drive to learn new skills and technologies, capable of quickly mastering new technical elements
