Job Title: IT Site Operations Manager, Ottawa.



About this opportunity




The IT Site Operations Manager (ISOM) is responsible and accountable for the smooth running of IT solutions encompassing the complete delivery of Enterprise IT, R&D IT and Test lab services. The ISOM will lead the implementation and maintenance of the company's computing and technology solution needs and function as a point of escalation for business stakeholders for any issues experienced with IT deliveries. The ISOM is the main contact for IT Security and local representative of global IT Security. The focus areas include Stakeholder Management, Financial Management, Vendor Management, Operational Control and Compliance.

What you will do



Serves as Primary Point of Contact to local site stakeholders. Ensuring outages are handled to minimize down time. Ensures compliance to Ericsson's change management process. Manage information technology and computer systems. Act in alignment with user needs and system functionality to contribute to organizational policy. Identify problematic areas and implement strategic solutions in time. Preserve assets, information security and control structures. Running regular checks on network and data security and leading all security related matters and programs via governance in line with group directives. Identifying and acting on opportunities to improve and update software and systems. Defining and implementing IT policy and best practice guides for the organization. Designing training programs and workshops for staff. Conducting regular system audits. Running and sharing regular operation system reports with senior staff. Supervising and determining time periods for major IT projects including system updates, upgrades, migrations, and outages. Managing and reporting on allocation of Local IT budget with special focus on due diligence and cost efficiency. Finding opportunities for team training and skills advancement. Serve as site leader for all Business Continuity Management (BCM) activities (Incident management and reporting). Collaborating with suppliers to ensure efficiency for services delivered to Ericsson. Close interaction with site stakeholders and participation in site meetings/governance.

You will bring:



Working experience as an IT manager or relevant experience in an international environment. Excellent knowledge of technical management, information analysis and of computer hardware/software systems. Expertise in data center management and data governance. Hands-on experience with computer networks, network administration and network installation. Ability to lead personnel and to network with people. Use of collaborations tools. Collaborating with a virtual team. Excellent communication skills - written, oral and presentation. Business and financial competence. Negotiation skills. Relevant Bachelor's degree or equivalent .

Your Pay

The salary offered is dependent on various factors including, but not limited to, location, and the candidate's combination of job-related knowledge, qualifications, skills, education, training, and experience.



The salary range for this position is $105,000 to $155,000

LOCATION: Canada


Short-Term Variable Compensation Plan: Your pay also includes the opportunity for an annual bonus. Actual bonus payouts are based on performance of the business against the unit's objectives, individual performance, and the individual bonus target. Certain eligibility and pro-ration rules apply.



Sales Incentive Plan: Your pay also includes the opportunity for sales incentives as a part of Ericsson's Sales Incentive Plan. Actual payouts are based on performance of the business against the unit's objectives, individual performance, and the individual incentive target. Certain eligibility and pro-ration rules apply.

Employees will receive company credits in an amount equal to the cost of the Deluxe medical and dental plan coverages for themselves and eligible covered dependents.



Your Financial Security

We invest in both your short and long-term financial wellbeing. Ericsson's Group Retirement & Savings Program offers an automatic 2% company contribution into the Pension Plan. Ericsson also offers a 50% match of employee's contribution into the Registered Retirement Savings Plan, up to 8% of the employee's contribution (maximum of 4% match). This leads to a total company contribution potential of 6%. Employees will also receive company credits in an amount equal to the cost of basic life insurance and basic accidental death and dismemberment coverage, as well as short-term disability coverage. Employees also have the option to participate in Ericsson's Stock Purchase Plan.



Your Time

Your work-life balance is important to us. New employees are provided a minimum of 18 days of accrued vacation, 3-5 personal days (depending on role), 10 holidays, 1 volunteer day, and unlimited sick days. Please note paid time off is pro-rated based on the employee's start date. Furthermore, Ericsson provides up to 10 weeks of paid maternity leave and 6 weeks of parental or adoption leave at 100% of pay.
