Job Overview
CMiC is looking for an IT Manager. This position will report to the Director of IT and Cloud Infrastructure. We are looking for someone who is a strategic thinker with demonstrated IT Management experience. Duties & Responsibilities

  • Manage information technology and computer systems
  • Manage IT staff by training and coaching employees, communicating job expectations and appraising their performance
  • Ensure security of data, network access and backup systems
  • Act in alignment with user needs and system functionality to contribute to organizational policy
  • Continuously analyze current process, technologies, and vendors to identify areas of improvement
  • Ensure network components meet needs and work together seamlessly, using the full range of capabilities, and stay informed about new features and competitive solutions
  • Analyze business requirements by partnering with key stakeholders across the organization to develop solutions for IT needs
  • Help define, coordinate, implement IT infrastructure strategy, architecture, systems, policies, and processes
  • Lead large IT projects, including the design and deployment of new IT systems and services
  • Preserves assets by implementing disaster recovery and back-up procedures and information security and control structures.
  • Completes projects by coordinating resources and timetables with user departments and data center.
  • Maintains organization\'s effectiveness and efficiency by defining and delivering strategic plans for implementing information technologies.
  • Researches and implements technological strategic solutions.
  • Audit systems and assess their outcomes
  • Identify problematic areas and implement strategic solutions in time
Requirements
  • University Degree - preferably in Computer Science, Science, or related degree
  • 5 years of experience as an IT Manager
  • 2-3 years of Linux administrative experience
  • Excellent knowledge of technical management, information analysis and of computer hardware/software systems
  • Experience leading and managing large IT projects and rolling out IT infrastructures across various technologies
  • Strong critical thinking and decision-making skills
  • Expertise in data center management and data governance
  • Experience with computer networks, network administration and network installation
  • Ability to manage personnel
  • Demonstrated problem solving skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Project management experience or PMP is an asset. Must be able to handle multiple ongoing projects.
  • Cloud experience is an asset
  • Fortinet experience is an asset
  • AWS and Azure experience an asset
  • Hands on information security is an asset
  • ITIL certification is an asset
