GFL Environmental is looking for an IT Manager, Telematics. The incumbent is responsible for leading a team of employees supporting end user activities, implementation and support of in-cab telematics systems, and ensuring adherence to company policies & procedures. This role works closely with maintenance, operational management, municipal contracts, and health & safety to provide, implement, integrate, & support appropriate telematics solutions, ensuring compliance with governmental contracts & internal policies.Key Responsibilities:

• Manage the operations, support, integration, & onboarding for a range of technologies for end users.
• Provide coaching, development, resource management, team leadership, input into performance and development plans for team members and relevant applications.
• Focus on process improvements to lower operational risks and improve efficiency within both IT & the company.
• Manage relationships with the senior management to ensure the teams goals meet the necessities of the business.
• Understand and identify opportunities to improve support functions.
• Work directly with the municipalities for data conversion, implementation, & training.
• Work with health & safety to develop driver behavior monitoring tools & alerts.
• Manage procurement, configuration, & deployment of in-cab hardware, coordinating with different internal & external teams.

• 5+ years relevant experience in telematics deployment & support
• 5+ years relevant experience with in-cab tracking & analytics systems integrations
• 5+ years relevant experience in managing a highly specialized IT support & deployment team
• Strong people management skills with the ability to build relationships internally & externally
• Ability to work independently in the management of projects, teams, and initiatives.
• Functional knowledge of SQL, including the ability to write SQL database scripts
• Functional knowledge of server implementation and enterprise level networks
• Functional knowledge of ELD mandates & systems
• Functional knowledge of RFID systems, cameras, GPS tracking, routing, & geo-zone construction
• Functional knowledge of agile methodologies is an asset
