The Information Services Division are technology leaders, planning and delivering successful solutions with information management and information technology (IM/IT) services to both the Ministry of Social Development and Poverty Reduction and the Ministry of Children and Family Development. The division also provides IM/IT resource planning, decision-making, project and issues management, security and privacy functions, and desktop support.
The Team Lead, Business Analysis position provides business analysis/consulting services and plan ongoing business and technology needs consistent with government and ministry strategic plans, system and project standards and interfacing requirements. As a leader and senior contributor, you serve as a positive role model for the team \xe2\x80\x93 promoting collaboration and timely delivery. While you work independently, you are part of a cross-functional, virtual team with an agile delivery process. This position must learn rapidly about a range of business domains and provide advice and guidance to a broad audience including senior staff and leadership; you therefore have excellent communication skills, and comfortable conveying information and collaborating in a broad array of contexts. Job Requirements:
Master\xe2\x80\x99s degree in a computer science related field and two (2) years of related experience; OR
Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in a computer science related field and three (3) years of related experience; OR
Diploma in a computer science related field and four (4) years related experience; OR
Certificate or course work in a computer science related field and five (5) years related experience; OR
An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
Related experience includes ALL of the following:
Experience providing business analysis on complex, high risk IM/IT projects, including scope, resource, schedule, budget and quality management.
Experience providing business analysis as part of application support and maintenance, including defect management, incident management and enhancement request intake. Experience in analyzing accessibility needs, articulating accessibility strategy or providing analysis of accessibility impacts.
Preference may be given to candidates with the following:
Experience supervising staff including assignment of work, development and evaluation of performance plans and approval of leave.
Experience working with or in a cross-functional agile team developing software products. Experience in the social sector and/or supporting applications or business processes in the social sector.

About this Position: There is currently a temporary opportunity available until March 28, 2025. The temporary opportunity may be extended OR a permanent appointment may result from the temporary appointment. Temporary postings are not limited to the geographic area.
