Position Summary:
Reporting to the National Inventory & Pricing Manager, the Inventory and Pricing Support Specialist will play a critical role in helping to build the foundation for improved data governance, which is necessary for our ongoing efforts to optimize inventory and pricing processes. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of our product setup, data validation, supplier setup, onboarding, and reporting on product data and gaps. The role will also support the pricing specialists in maintaining and setting up special pricing contracts.
Major Responsibilities:
Create a standard process for vendor and product data collection, maintenance, and governance by leveraging product experts in the branches
Ensure the accurate setup of products in the ERP system through validation using internal sources and third-party portals.
Validate data on a regular schedule to maintain data integrity and consistency across platforms.
Troubleshoot and resolve any discrepancies in product data.
Facilitate the system onboarding process for new suppliers.
Ensure all supplier information is accurately entered and maintained in the system.
Act as a liaison between suppliers and internal teams to resolve any setup issues.
Assist in the setup and maintenance of special pricing contracts.
Ensure all special pricing contract details are accurately reflected in the system.
Collaborate with the pricing team to address any contract-related queries or issues.
Generate and distribute regular reports on key performance indicators and product data.
Support management with ad-hoc reporting requests.
Preferred Skills and Experience:
Post-secondary Degree or Diploma in Commerce, Information Technology, or Business Administration, or an acceptable combination of education and relevant experience required.
1-3 years professional work experience in a relevant role
Self-starter with solid time management, communication, and problem-solving skills
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly in Excel
Ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced business environment
Bilingual (English/French) would be considered an asset
