CHALLENGES:
This role will be a significant resource for the Highland Team
Bookkeeping Support: Performing bookkeeping tasks - post journal entries, A/R and A/P, bank reconciliation, payroll, filing HST and payroll liabilities and maintaining general ledgers and financial statements using QB desktop and QB online
Payroll Support: Process payrolls for clients using various software platforms, create required remittance information, issue ROEs, WSIB calculations, filing Tslips - ie T4, T4A's, T5018, and related RL forms where required
Tax Preparation: Support the tax team by working closely with tax clients and collaborating with other staff to complete more extensive tax returns
REQUIREMENTS
:
Completion of a College or University program in related field - bookkeeping, payroll, accounting
Exceptional communication abilities to satisfy the needs of the clients and the Highland team members in a conscientious manner
Work within a client-focused environment with excellent time-management abilities to meet deadlines while maintaining strong attention to detail and accuracy
Understanding of Ontario ESA
Knowledge of Canadian tax forms and the Canadian ITA
Sound judgement respecting confidential and sensitive matters
Honesty, integrity, confidentiality and flexibility as a part of your personality to become a member of the Highland team
Must reside in the Greater Sudbury area, and be legally entitled to work, in Canada
