Earls Kitchen + Bar is seeking a collaborative, creative, and motivated Interior Designer from a CIDA-Accredited Interior Design Program to join our Store Development team in Vancouver, BC.



In this role, you'll play a key part in the Store Development Project Team, executing AutoCAD floor plans, design presentation materials, SketchUp modeling, and construction drawings. You'll also lead FF&E coordination and on-site installations, with opportunities to travel to project sites across North America. This is a unique opportunity to work on innovative hospitality design projects in a collaborative environment with clear pathways for professional growth.

Role Responsibilities





Execute site-specific design visions by assisting and/or creating design presentation materials, SketchUp models, floor plans, construction drawings, and material/vendor research. Present design intent and articulate reasoning for design choices to stakeholders, building confidence and engagement in the process. Execute the delivery of floor plans, millwork packages, scoping documents, and FF&E packages Execute project documentation and administrative needs to ensure accurate records are maintained, including drawings, specifications, and consultant/vendor coordination. Coordinate deliverables and track lead times to align with overall project schedules, communicating impacts or risks to the team when changes arise. Identify risks in site conditions, drawings, or schedules and support the team in developing mitigation strategies. Administer contract documents, site instructions, and construction administration tasks Collaborate with external consultants and vendors to review and align construction documentation with design intent. Lead on-site coordination for FF&E installations, including merchandising, dimming, and construction activities, occasionally requiring overnight installations. Contribute to the continuous improvement of processes, tools, and design standards to enhance efficiency, sustainability, and long-term value. Support in mentorship with peer designers & interns.

Qualifications





Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Interior Design from a CIDA-Accredited Program. 2-6 years of work experience in hospitality or commercial design Ability to manage and execute multiple projects under tight deadlines Proficient in sourcing, specifying & detailing hospitality millwork, finishes and FF&E Proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, Photoshop, Microsoft Office & Google software, budget management, and tools (preference for Smartsheet). Experience with Enscape or other rendering software is an asset Experience producing high-quality contract documents & construction drawings Working knowledge of Canadian and North American Building Codes. Detail-oriented, highly organized, and self-motivated. Prior experience working at Earls or in a restaurant environment is highly valued. An interest in sustainability. Willingness and availability to travel across North America.
