Interim Controller

Job Description


Our Edmonton client is looking for an experienced controller for approximately 3 months. This is an in-office part-time opportunity (3 days per week). Reporting to the General Manager, the controller is responsible for:

Responsibilities:

  • Overseeing accounting staff in the completion of daily accounting tasks including A/R, A/P, journal entry preparation, etc.
  • Preparing the monthly financial statements
  • preparing provincial and federal tax remittances and reporting
  • ensuring financial controls and policies are adhered to
  • Provide cash flow analysis
  • Provide financial acumen and guidance to operational business leaders, and
  • Completing ad hoc projects as required.
Qualifications:
  • CPA designation ideally with ASPE accounting experience
  • Good Excel and ERP system skills
  • Strong communication and supervisory skills
  • Willingness to roll up one\'s sleeves
