Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Controller for a short term contract in Toronto. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in financial management and analysis, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in billing, payments, and cash flow operations. This role requires someone with strong attention to detail who excels at strategic planning and process improvement. This is an onsite role for 6-8 weeks for a small mid size company.
Responsibilities:

• Oversee and review billing processes to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Manage payments and cash flow to optimize financial performance.
• Evaluate and recommend improvements to existing financial processes and workflows.
• Monitor organizational resource utilization and provide actionable insights.
• Support business planning by delivering financial analysis and projections.
• Conduct regular reviews of key financial metrics and reports.
• Utilize QuickBooks Online to manage and track financial data effectively.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to align financial strategies with organizational goals.
• Ensure adherence to regulatory and compliance standards in all financial operations.
• A minimum of 7 years of experience in financial management or a related role.
• Proficiency in QuickBooks Online and other financial management tools.
• Strong knowledge of cash flow management principles and practices.
• Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
• Proven experience in process improvement and strategic planning.
• Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Effective communication and collaboration abilities.
• Familiarity with compliance and regulatory requirements in financial operations.
