This position is in the Regional Integration of Compliance and Enforcement (RICO) Unit within our Inspection, Compliance, and Enforcement (ICE) Division. The ICE program ensures effective regulatory oversight and operational delivery across multiple disciplines and is foundational to the key objectives, outcomes, and deliverable of all the departments program areas.

About Our Opportunity

The Integrations and Operations Coordinator is responsible for working across the department with a variety of stakeholders to ensure the successful implementation of complex and dynamic programs province wide within the ICE Division. As the Integrations and Operations Coordinator, you provide leadership for the integration of new and existing programs and initiatives by engaging with internal teams, providing leadership for managing change, and ensuring alignment with the division's business practices and ICE program goals. The Integration and Operations Coordinator is responsible for developing operational policy, planning, playing a leadership role in project work and implementing the division's quality assurance and onboarding programs.

As the Integrations and Operations Coordinator, you contribute to the ongoing development, implementation, and promotion of the ICE program, by helping to implement plans and working with internal teams to monitor program implementation for process efficiencies. In consultation with the ICE team, you identify opportunities to further develop and strengthen consistency in program implementation strategies that align with the department's strategic goals and objectives.

Primary Accountabilities

  • Developing new or updating existing operational procedures, policies, and tools to ensure the ICE program is meeting its legislated requirements.
  • Participating or leading key divisional projects to improve the delivery and integration of the ICE program and input into strategic decision making.
  • Lead the development and implementation of program quality assurance and quality control reviews to evaluate outcomes, performance, service standards, and interpretation and application of ICE program policies and procedures.
  • Participate or lead continuous improvement initiatives of key ICE program components to ensure program effectiveness.
  • Assisting with planning for future direction of the ICE program including design, recommendation of methodologies, planning, implementation, and evaluation strategies.
  • Implements the divisions onboarding program by mentoring new inspectors and officers through the program components in collaboration with management.
  • Provides leadership and expertise on change management and internal communications.
  • Identifying process improvement opportunities and leading or participating in implementation and evaluation.
  • Regular communication, engagement, and consultation with internal and external stakeholders.
  • The position will present, inform, and make effective recommendations to leadership with a focus on strategic decision-making and impact of recommendations.
Qualifications and Experience

As the successful candidate, you will have a bachelor's degree in a related field plus 6 years related experience; or an equivalent combination of training and experience.

The ideal incumbent will be knowledgeable in NSE's mandate, processes, and strategic priorities; possess a high degree of patience, compassion, and understanding; demonstrate strong organizational and time management skills while working in an often fast paced environment; demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills; experience providing advice and developing recommendations to senior leadership, including the preparation of briefing notes, reports, and presentations; possess enthusiasm and positivity for working and communicating with others in a team environment; demonstrate the ability to establish genuine and collaborative relationships internal and external to the department; possess strong problem solving and decision making abilities; the ability to consider multiple view points and manage competing perspectives diplomatically; demonstrate innovation and be solution orientated. Having project management skills and experience; knowledge of NSEs technology platforms including SNAP-ATS and FileNet; and having training or experience in change management will be considered assets.

Additional Information

This is a TEMPORARY employment opportunity for 2 positions with the anticipated end date of March 31, 2023 for both positions. The appointment status ('term', 'temporary' or 'casual') is dependent on the start date of the successful candidate.

Salary Range: $3,001.65 - $3,525.41 Bi-Weekly
