Responsibilities

The brief

Lethbridge College\'s Centre for Teaching, Learning and Innovation (CTLI) is looking for a Digital Learning Integrated Support Specialist to join our dynamic team. Reporting to the Digital Learning Coordinator, CTLI, this position provides an essential link between innovative technology and faculty/student support, integrating educational technology into college pedagogy and curriculum. The specialist demonstrates pedagogical knowledge alongside knowledge of emerging technologies and hybrid course delivery.

The Integrated Support Specialist works on multiple projects with various team members across the centre. This requires strong organizational, planning, and communication skills. The specialist will follow department and centre processes while leading small teams toward project goals of developing learning experiences and services, design, and course-integrated support. This position might be right for you if you have a passion for emerging technology and the learning experience, for example:

  • Designing, adapting, and evaluating student learning support services, spaces and resources
  • Providing ed tech support for students, faculty, and staff
  • Assisting with LMS support and troubleshooting
  • Preparing and delivering presentations, workshops, and training on a variety of educational technologies and topics related to digital technology and pedagogy for both internal and external audiences
  • Collaborating and facilitating workshops, leading communities of practice, and encouraging interdisciplinary partnerships in learning design
Having the creative confidence to learn and implement new technologies and utilize flexible approaches is integral to succeeding in this position. This role requires strong project management, decision-making, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills.

Job Duties

Here\'s how the Integrated Support Specialist, Digital Learning contributes to Lethbridge College\'s culture of innovation, excellence, and inclusion.

Leadership: Leads and collaborates on centre and team-level initiatives such as Integrated Supports, Instructor Certification Program, and digital support first response.

Collaboration: Collaborates with CTLI and other academic centres and departments. Works closely with both faculty and students.

Support: Serves as a first point of contact between faculty and students and the Digital Learning Team regarding LMS support.

Engagement: Engages with internal representatives to identify needs and develop processes and tools to support integrated supports and emerging technology across campus.

Project management: Serves as a first point of contact between CTLI and other college departments for hybrid course delivery and technology and integrated supports.

Required Qualifications
  • Undergraduate degree in Education, with a Master\'s degree complete or in progress
  • Significant and successful teaching experience
  • Experience and competence using current workplace and educational technologies and applications, including troubleshooting
  • Strong self-management skills, including the ability to work independently and maintain confidentiality when required
  • Proven ability to work in a team environment, including time-management, interpersonal, and communication (verbal and written) skills
Preferred Qualifications

\xc2\xb7 Graduate degree (preferred) in Educational Technology or a related degree

\xc2\xb7 Experience and/or education in Indigenous education or Indigenization of curriculum
\xc2\xb7 Evidence of ongoing professional development
\xc2\xb7 Experience in digital first-response support
Salary Starting at $64,323-$73,095 per annum; commensurate with education and experience
