We are seeking a skilled Insulator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing insulation materials in residential and commercial buildings to enhance energy efficiency and comfort. This role requires a strong understanding of building materials, and proficiency in using hand tools. The Insulator will work closely with other construction professionals to ensure high-quality installations that meet industry standards.
Qualifications
Proven experience in insulation installation or related construction fields is preferred.
Proficiency in using hand tools commonly used in insulation work.
Knowledge of various insulation materials and their applications.
Attention to detail with a focus on quality workmanship.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
Strong communication skills and a positive attitude towards collaboration.
Valid G drivers license with a clean driving abstract.
Must be comfortable working at heights and tight spaces.
Ability to work in different environmental conditions (indoors/ outdoors, hot/ cold).
Must be able to lift 30lb bags.
Standard Job Duties:
Install fiberglass, blanket and mineral batts insulation inside of walls, ceilings, bulkheads and sloped roofs according to company standards.
Install attic blown in insulation.
Install vapour barrier.
Apply caulking and sealants as needed to ensure airtight installations.
Utilize hand tools effectively to cut, shape, and fit insulation materials.
Prepare work site by protecting windows and floors as needed.
Set up and take down scaffolding as required.
Accurate and on-time completion of paperwork, loading/unloading materials and equipment, job site clean-up, and various maintenance tasks as needed.
Enforce and follow established safety rules and regulations and maintain a safe and clean work environment.
Clock in and clock out on company timesheet including detailed description of duties performed.
Ensure scope of work is being completed efficiently and according to company standards.
