Ontario Power Generation (OPG) is looking for a dynamic, strategic and results-driven professional to join our team in the role of Instructional Designer/Senior Training Advisor - Skilled Trades.
Reporting to the Section Manager, Training Technology, Planning & Design, this position is responsible for creating high-quality, engaging, and effective learning experiences for our skilled trades courses. The ideal candidate has a deep understanding of instructional design in the skilled trades sector and is passionate about creating experiential course content for delivery by our Training Specialists that will empower our learners to succeed as Electrical, Mechanical, and/or Protection & Control (P&C) Technicians in our Renewable Generation fleet. While the tactile nature of trades training often demands in-person expertise and hands-on training, we\'re on the hunt for an innovator who can artfully weave in self-directed and virtual learning opportunities wherever they fit. We\'re seeking an educator with a profound respect for the trades, coupled with a passion for leveraging cutting-edge technology to empower our learners to thrive.
