Reporting to the Instrumentation Sales Team Lead, the Inside Sales person will be responsible for helping to grow our Instrumentation business in the Atlantic Canadian market, through assistance in sourcing products, preparing quotations, entering orders and addressing customer service related inquiries. Some of the additional expectations of this role would include:

  • Responding to customer inquires pertaining to the products and solutions represented and distributed under the business units;
  • Participating in the sales process including sourcing product, preparing quotes, providing sales and product information, and assisting in sales presentations, as required/requested to support sales activities and successful closure of sales;
  • Following up on quotes to transition them to orders;
  • Assisting in order management for all sales orders taken and entered, including maintaining the necessary quotation/sales order filing system;
  • Advising the Team Lead of activities within the territory and sales pipeline progress on weekly basis via CRM;
  • Assisting in the maintenance of vendor and product information in the ERP system;
  • Maintaining broad depth of knowledge of the company?s product portfolio and clients within Atlantic Canada and participating in product training within the business unit; and
  • Preparing bids, submissions, and documentation through to completion with a goal of maximizing profitability .
  • Supporting team members in the safe, efficient delivery of superior service to our clients.

The successful candidate must be a professional, success driven, self-starter with a strong ability to identify and evaluate client needs and translate this into sales opportunities. They will bring with them strong oral and written communication skills along with an ability to engage clients through with these skills. Given the broad geographic market and product lines, excellent time management and organizational skills will be required as well as an ability to demonstrate strong problem-solving skills and flexibility to address changing situations and priorities. They will bring an ability to work both collaboratively with diverse team members, as well as independently, to deliver high quality service and support to our customers in various markets. Knowledge and use of CRM and ERP systems as well as Microsoft Office tools would be an asset.
Knowledge of instrumentation and controls gained either through the acquisition of a college diploma or through work experience and/or training is an asset. Strong interpersonal and selling skills. Combinations of education in a related field and experience will be considered. Experience in sales within the Instrumentation field considered an asset.
