POSITION SUMMARY:

This position coordinates all sales activities for a given geographic market segment. Taking direction from the Country Sales Manager, the primary function of the role is the management of key customer order fulfillment activities.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Inside Sales

  • Manage all order fulfillment activities for key customers of ShawFlex Wire and Cable products
  • Analyze customer requirements and prepare quotations based on current market conditions, product type, past market history, technical capabilities and the geographical market segment strategy
  • Working closely with Regional Managers proactively target and develop new business and markets to build ShawFlex market share in Canada
  • Initiate cost requests and order expedites if required to ensure on time completion
  • Track quotation trends and order success rates
Marketing Support
  • Provide input to management to ensure proper strategic market direction and identify obstacles, competitive products and pricing to determine our market competitiveness
  • Execute channel management and promotional programs designed by management
  • Gather and monitor potentially useful information for opportunities from any/all available sources
  • Prepare and manage project bid/tender packages
Customer Service
  • Process purchase orders from customers into ERP system while managing order lead time requirements
  • Facilitate customer requests and orders through Product engineering and production if required
  • Review requests for warranty, return goods, credits and debits, customer complaints and forward to Country Manager for approval
  • Accurately invoice customers for all shipments that have been made as required
  • Review and approve freight and brokerage bills
  • Act as a back-up during vacation periods or as required
KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:
  • Bachelor\'s Degree in Business / Arts and Science preferred with 3 to 5 years of working experience
  • Sales and manufacturing experience is an asset
