Over the years, we developed a solid reputation for the design and manufacturing of quality injection molded products. The company operates a 100,000 sq. ft. facility with 24 molding machines, running 24 hours, 7 days a week.

Focus of position



The setup and processing technician would be responsible for all aspects of the injection molding process, from mold setup to processing material to the maintenance of the mold and machinery.



Perform startup, changeover, and troubleshooting of injection molding processes for production and sample runs. Hang and clamp molds safely, remove molds from presses, and stage for disassembly. Regrind, trim flash, and degate plastic parts from runners, and purge barrels of leftover materials. Follow Hot Tip procedures for various materials. Enter run information into PLC, monitor orders, and record PLC parameters and troubleshooting processes. Verify material, dryer temperature, and cycle times, and monitor part quality and output. Secure molds to plate; assemble heater cartridges and thermocouple leads to the mold. Identify and resolve process issues to ensure uninterrupted production and meet customer specifications. Report deficiencies to QC Manager, communicate production information and issues to staff, and document tool write-ups for mold repairs. Assist the Plant Manager in achieving cycle efficiency by streamlining the production process through effective monitoring Comply with health and safety rules, keep technical areas clean and organized, and respect tooling equipment. Assist with training needs, participate in cross-training, and support other departments as needed. Review and inspect machines daily, report maintenance issues, and perform preventive maintenance on equipment and molds. Respect and handle all tooling equipment to safeguard against damage. Proper inventory of molds, equipment and machines. Understand and follow established Standardized Work Practice as they relate to relates to Mold changeovers. Label, monitor and clean material hoppers and filters. Setting up drying temperatures

Education and Experience:



2-5 years of experience in injection molding setup and process operations High school diploma required; college degree preferred Overhead crane and forklift certifications Ability to stand and walk for extended periods, lift and move loads over 50 lbs Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment

Preferred Qualifications



Experience with processing specialty materials like CPVC
Open to Canadian Citizens
