Reporting to the Director of Information Technology (IT) as part of the IT management team, the IT Manager will assist in the development of requisite policies and procedures for the organization and department. The IT Manager role is a crucial hands-on, technical asset responsible for managing, supporting, coordinating, and maintaining the hardware and software systems and programs critical to the organization, employee productivity and efficiencies.

Your day-to-day activities will include:

  • As a member of the IT Management Team, you will help develop information technology strategies in alignment with the operational goals and strategic direction for the organization;
  • Delegating tasks and achieving daily, weekly, and monthly goals;
  • Liaising with team members, management/clients to ensure projects are completed to standard;
  • Assist with Network Infrastructure Design & Development, System Security, User Accounts, (Active Directory) and Server Maintenance;
  • Remain up to date with relevant technologies and best practices;
  • Provide input to the IT Director regarding budget preparation and monitoring;
  • Updating work schedules / process payroll as required;
  • Supervise, motivate, and work on projects with IT Team;
  • Monitor the support queue to ensure adequate coverage to resolve tickets as per the SLA;
  • Identify training needs or requirements for yourself individually and for the team;
  • Participate in the day-to-day operations of the IT function, providing support and backup to all functions of IT including servers, networks, firewall, security, services, communications, and helpdesk;
  • Identify problems and develop solutions.
The successful candidate should enter the position with the following qualifications:
  • Post-secondary Diploma or Degree in Computer Science or Information Technologies;
  • 3+ years' experience in a network management/administration experience;
  • 7+ years of practical IT experience;
  • Demonstrated understanding of IT service delivery and management principles;
  • Demonstrated ability to lead teams, manage projects, and communicate effectively both oral and written;
  • Successful Candidate Will Be Required to travel between P&H sites and/or other locations as required;
  • Proven ability to solve problems in a proactive manner;
  • Experience with the following technologies is required:
  • Microsoft Windows Server
  • Azure security, networking, and hosting
  • Active Directory
  • Networking-Firewall Security and VPN (Preferably Cato Networks)
  • Supporting infrastructure hardware such as switches, routers, APs, and servers
  • End Point Security
  • Cloud Technologies (preferably Azure)
  • Microsoft 365 Applications
  • Mobile Device Management.
