Major Purpose:

Reporting to the Director, Information Technology (IT) and Facilities, the IS Manager leads a team of Business System Analysts who are working closely with FCM\xe2\x80\x99s business units and the IT team to gather and document requirements, business processes, create functional specifications and implement solutions to meet FCM\xe2\x80\x99s business and information needs. The incumbent provides project leadership and advice around full Information Systems lifecycle including system selection, implementation, adoption, ongoing optimization/enhancements and eventual decommission. This position also provides support to FCM users on their daily use of FCM Applications, while also providing advice and support on Business Intelligence and reporting tools. In addition, the incumbent plays a crucial role in supporting FCM Departments through Change Management expertise to ensure adoption of new systems and business processes. Key Responsibilities:

  • Manages the team of Business Systems Analysts supporting FCM information systems including but not limited to: CRM, Grants Management, Data Warehouse, PowerBI reporting, Information management, etc.
  • Manages all aspects of IS Team performance:
    • Assess and balance workload and priorities
    • Provide mentorship and development opportunities for the team
    • Approve IS team business processes
    • Monitors adherence to Service Level Agreement (SLA) and takes corrective action as required
    • Monitors and guides IS Team interaction with Super User communities at FCM
    • Manages hiring and ongoing performance appraisal process
  • Acts as FCM Project Manager resource on Information Systems projects including system selection, implementation, adoption, ongoing optimization/enhancements and eventual decommission. Oversees the work of internal Project Manager, external consultants and ensures the quality of deliverables.
  • Provides leadership and expertise in Change Management processes to ensure adoption of new systems and updated business processes in FCM. Engages with FCM Departments leadership as required to facilitate change management actions;
  • Identifies and documents FCM\xe2\x80\x99s Departments\xe2\x80\x99 specific data and information needs and scans the software market to assess and recommend the best fit solutions to meet these needs. Works closely with Director of IT and Facilities on procurement of required systems and modules;
  • Assesses the functionalities and the use of FCM systems and applications against business, functional and reporting requirements and makes recommendations to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of these systems and applications;
  • Ensures the maintenance, configuration, enhancement, monitoring, analysis and integration of FCM Information systems to fully support FCM\xe2\x80\x99s business processes and information needs;
  • Assesses FCM IT users\xe2\x80\x99 training needs; plan for the trainings and, where required, provides training adapted to users, including the development or customization of user support manuals;
  • Monitor, identify and correct data inconsistencies in applications and systems being used within FCM and, the case being, identify and implement mitigation strategies to conciliate and adjust data;
  • Oversees the work of Super User groups and system governance groups as it relates to the evolution of systems and applications and to data management lifecycles.
  • Oversees procurement and billing function related to IS Systems and license subscriptions.
  • Works with the IT team to improve ITS service delivery and the overall quality of the ITS Service.

Knowledge, Experience and Skills:

  • Post-secondary degree in Computer Science or equivalent level of education and experience
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in business analysis and management information systems design, implementation, testing and integration with a strong focus on CRM systems; with at least two (2) years of relevant experience managing a team
  • Significant experience (minimum 5 years) in gathering and documenting users\xe2\x80\x99 requirements and translating these requirements into functional and technical systems requirements;
  • Strong knowledge and experience with systems\xe2\x80\x99 processes and system\xe2\x80\x99s lifecycle management, in particular CRM Dynamics 365 on-prem and on the cloud with Power Pages portals. Specific focus on CRM functionality supporting:
    • Membership
    • Events
    • Tradeshow
    • Board
    • CRM portal supporting the above
    • Power Automate workflows.
    • Integration with Microsoft Great Plains
  • Knowledge and experience in Data Modelling and Database Management.
  • Proven ability to understand, map and document the underlying data models in systems and applications to efficiently generate reports based on these data;
  • Experience in managing Data Lifecycle and Data Quality Control (i.e.: data input, migration, conversion, analysis and cleaning);
  • Expertise in facilitating end use adoption of technology and processes through application of Change Management best practices. ADKAR or similar certification is considered an asset;
  • Proven ability to be organized and effectively undertake and lead several projects simultaneously;
  • Continuous self-education on new systems and technology is a core aspect of this role;
  • Experience with Grants Management operations is considered an asset;
  • Experience in configuring and deploying CRM and xRM solutions such as Click Dimensions, ADX Studio Portals (or other Marketing and Communication tools) and ERP integration tools such as Scribe or KingswaySoft is considered an asset;
  • Knowledge of systems integration and data transformation technologies (XML, Scribe, SSIS) is considered an asset;
  • Knowledge and experience in using Business Process Modelling software as well as Business Intelligence (BI) tools such as MS Power BI, Data Warehouse concepts are considered an asset;
  • Strong interpersonal skills and proven ability to establish strong working relationships with an organization\xe2\x80\x99s business units and with external partners or consultants.
  • Strong communication skills and proven ability to communicate complex technical terminology to users, working teams and management;
  • Ability to effectively plan and develop training material; and provide training to systems\xe2\x80\x99 users, both one-on-one and in group settings.
  • The ability to positively motivate, mentor and build teams with a collaborative attitude.
