Import Export Specialist

Job Description


  • This position secures Import \xe2\x80\x93 Export shipments on time delivery in compliance with applicable regulations & LEGO Group Policies, within the right cost as part of daily execution, through effective communication with internal and external partners and functional knowledge, having in mind internal customer needs.
Core Responsibilities:
  • Handle the import-export daily operation with Customs Brokers and Transportation Carriers by providing accurate instructions to maintain operation on time and in compliance with regulations and policies.
  • Run the daily transport operation with an End-to-End approach (from shipping point to receiving point) according with agreed INCOTERM through right coordination and instructions, securing shipments delivery in the right place, time, and cost.
  • Maintain accurately updated working systems and tools, secure accurate information transfer to US Customs and approved Customs Brokers through adherence to processes to secure high compliance standards and Brand Protection.
  • Maintain Processes, user guides and Standard Operating Procedures in place with regular updates via continuous alignment with area Manager, local and federal regulations changes, and digital platforms to secure long term compliance (critical to maintain LMR Customs Certifications and Safety, Quality, Delivery and Cost adherence).
  • Lead daily effective collaboration with Customs Brokers, Transportation companies in US, EU and Asia, External suppliers, LEGO Colleagues in EU & APAC, and local with LMR Planning, Materials Planning, Engineering, Maintenance, Procurement, etc., to handle daily operations, exceptions and new set ups if needed.
  • Daily responsibility to identify, advise and act upon risks until are mitigated. Call out as needed to the Import-Export Sr. Manager and then Director level.
Are you up for the challenge?
  • +4 years of experience in the FTZ, import/export operations, or customs compliance functions.
  • Knowledge of US Customs, FTZ Regulations, Free Trade Agreements, CTPAT, HTS Classification, International Logistics, and Domestic Transport.
  • Experience with SAP or other enterprise systems.
