The acquisition of this critical skillset will enable IWK Health to change our evaluation culture from an optional extra to part of core service delivery.Being embedded in programs and services at IWK Health increases the potential for co-designed, relevant research and evaluation, applied directly to the context in which solutions will be adopted, to facilitate successful implementation and improve health and care for service users. This model will allow researchers, health care staff/physicians, patients/families, and community members to understand and value each other\'s roles, knowledge, and approaches and develop their complementary skills.Implementation Science is a multidisciplinary field that strives to improve population health by studying different methods and strategies to promote the uptake of interventions into practice and policy. The discipline uses both qualitative and quantitative methodologies to identify the best ways to embed research that is equitable and sustainable. Important features of this work include mixed methods research that is grounded in theory, engagement of system partners, and contributions to an integrated knowledge translation process for the larger health system.It is expected that this individual would be eligible for an adjunct appointment with the Faculty of Graduate Studies, Faculty of Medicine, and/or Faculty of Health, Dalhousie University.Hours of WorkMonday to Friday; 45 hours bi-weeklyYour Qualifications
