The Senior Scientist, Program Evaluation provides qualified expertise in their specialty area and advanced scientific input and expertise to public health initiatives at the BC Centre for Disease Control (BCCDC). The position conducts evaluation of various aspects of the provincial immunization programs in order to inform policy and strategies for effective implementation of immunization programs. The role provides expert appraisals, consultations and recommendations, conducts and/or coordinates data analyses, evaluative studies, recommends and interprets performance measures, and has expertise in research methods. Leads and contributes to the planning, development, implementation and evaluation of medical/scientific processes, procedures and measures that align with BCCDC\xe2\x80\x99s overall objectives and provincial mandate while ensuring the requirements of key internal and external stakeholders are met. Designs projects and collaborates with the Service Line Medical Director as well as with health care professionals within the BCCDC to design studies and to create models that target improved outcomes. The Senior Scientist works to develop research grants to attract external funding and works with other senior scientists to establish new initiatives.
