This position requires a thorough understanding of programs such as the Atlantic Immigration Program (AIP), Provincial Nominee Programs (PNPs), and applicable Federal Programs.Job Responsibilities:Subject Matter Expert for Seaboard and Armour (SATL)xc2xb7 Provides consultation and guidance to employees and internal stakeholders on matters related to the hiring of foreign nationalsxc2xb7 Monitor changes in immigration laws and policies and update internal procedures accordingly.xc2xb7 Assists in educating all levels of the business on applicable active immigration programs and processesxc2xb7 Assists with creating processes, policies and procedures to streamline document intake, management, assessments, drafts, and submissionsImmigration File Evaluation and Decision-Making Processxc2xb7 Assess employeesxe2x80x99 eligibility for different pathways to permanent residencexc2xb7 Prepare, submit, and track work permit and permanent residence applications under programs such as the Atlantic Immigration Program (AIP), Provincial Nominee Programs (PNPs), or other immigration programs.xc2xb7 Maintains regular communication with clients being supported with immigration Servicesxc2xb7 Identifies and mitigates risk that may arise throughout the immigration process (from hire to permanent residency) and escalates concerns to HR Director - SATILCollaboration with Recruitment Teamxc2xb7 Works collaboratively with the Recruitment Team when immigration related policies or procedures change that potentially effect SATLxe2x80x99s recruitment processxc2xb7 Maintains ongoing timely communication with recruitment related to permanent resident status of employees receiving immigration services and supportBuild Strategic Partnerships in Immigration and Settlementxc2xb7 Stays up to date on all immigration programs, policiesand pathways available in Canada with a strong focus on Atlantic Canada, Alberta, Quebec, and Ontario immigration pathways (temporary and permanent)xc2xb7 Build relationships with government representatives, immigration consultants, and legal advisors to stay updated on best practices and regulatory changes.xc2xb7 Advocate for the organization's immigration-related needsxc2xb7 Keeps up-to-date and is knowledgeable on settlement programs and services for newcomers, events for newcomers, and shifting trends in newcomer arrivals and needsData Integrity and Documentation Managementxc2xb7 Verify and prepare necessary supporting documents, such as employment contracts, LMIA exemptions, and job offer letters.xc2xb7 Generate and submit compliance reports required by immigration authorities.xc2xb7 Create templates and process documentation to standardize immigration-related activities.xc2xb7 Conduct periodic reviews and audits of immigration files to ensure accuracy and completeness.Required Qualifications:xc2xb7 Post-secondary education: international business, business, social services, legal administration or related fieldxc2xb7 Registered Canadian Immigration Consultant (RCIC) with active membership in good standingKnowledge, Experiencexc2xb7 Minimum 1 year working experience within immigration, employment law, government and/or settlement organizationxc2xb7 Thorough understanding of all immigration programs, policies and pathways available in Canada with a focus on Atlantic Canada and Ontario.
