Job Description

Nordic Minesteel Technologies (NMT) is currently seeking an experienced Hydraulic Technician to join our team in a faced-paced metal fabrication environment. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with hydraulic systems, including hose routing, and a strong background in mechanical assembly. This role is critical to the successful build of custom equipment, requiring precision, attention to detail, and a solid understanding of hydraulic and mechanical components.

Produces components by assembling mechanical, electrical and hydraulic components to Engineering specifications. Assemble, fit, and install prefabricated and purchased parts to form subassemblies or finished products per mechanical assembly drawings, or as directed by the team lead. Assemble hydraulic systems (including hose routing) and manufacture hose/fittings per schematic drawings/specifications, or as directed by the team lead. Use of various pneumatic, hydraulic and mechanical tools in compliance with applicable safety standards and best practices. Operate material handling devices such as; overhead crane and forklift in compliance with applicable safety standards and best practices. Material handling includes safe rigging and transportation of various loads. Ensure quality and functionality of various assemblies & finished products. Perform minor adjustments and repairs to assemblies and finished product as specified. Work with Engineering as required to communicate details of non-conformances found during the shift, and to help formulate corrective action taken. Adopt and practice good housekeeping. Ability to quickly grasp Mechanical and Hydraulic assembly concepts. Abide by all applicable regulatory & company-specific safety standards. Abide by ISO 9001 Quality Management System and associated procedures. Contribute to continual improvement for safety, quality, product, production, and work environment. Willing to cross-train in other departments as needed on a temporary basis.

Required Experience and Skills



Minimum High School Diploma or Certificate of Completion Diploma or Degree in a related discipline is preferred One to Two (1-2) years' experience specific to the above listed responsibilities Can work independently with minimal supervision Able to lift up to 22kgs or 50lbs Able to stand and walk throughout the shift Punctual, reliable and responsible
Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $24.00-$32.00 per hour
