Hydraulic Technician

with advanced technical knowledge and the ability to drive improvements in hydraulic system design and operation, including proficiency with hydraulic software and schematic creation.

Responsibilities:

Disassemble, inspect, and repair hydraulic cylinders, pumps, motors, and valves to the highest standards Utilize hydraulic software for system analysis, design, and simulation Develop and create detailed hydraulic schematics for complex systems Perform diagnostics, troubleshooting, and repairs on mobile and industrial hydraulic systems, including pumps, valves, motors, and cylinders Work with basic electrical systems, diagnosing and repairing hydraulic control circuits Assemble and specify hose and tube assemblies, ensuring proper fit and functionality in the field Use precision measuring instruments, calculators, torque tools, and a variety of hand tools for servicing equipment Conduct system testing and provide detailed analysis of hydraulic components Participate in safety certification classes and workshops to maintain compliance with industry standards Contribute to shop maintenance by ensuring a clean, organized, and safe working environment

Qualifications:

Expertise in hydraulic systems, including design, troubleshooting, and repair Proficiency in hydraulic software for schematic creation and system diagnostics Ability to interpret and create complex hydraulic schematics Exceptional mechanical aptitude with a strong understanding of hydraulic principles Advanced math and analytical skills for system analysis and troubleshooting Physical stamina to lift up to 50 lbs. and perform hands-on tasks Heavy Duty Mechanic or Millwright Red Seal Certificate is a strong asset Proven experience with hydraulic repair, and a commitment to continuous learning Forklift operation experience is an asset Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
