The duration of the work term is anticipated to last approximately four months approximately from May 5th - August 29th 2025. The schedule for the position is anticipated to be on-site for Full-Time hours, Monday-Friday from 8 AM - 5 PM.This opportunity offers valuable hands-on experience for a student pursuing a career in Human Resources. The position will based out of our corporate head office in Calgary, AB.What you will be doing:

• File documents into employee personnel files (excluding executives).
• Order and track flowers for bereavement and hospitalizations.
• Assist with enrolling and updating the company benefits program for non-executive employees.
• Send employee digital surveys (e.g., exit surveys and one-month check-ins).
• Send approved emails to notify employees of coverage changes, such as dependent age-outs or beneficiary updates.
• Assist with employee life event notifications, such as birthdays, milestones, marriages and births.
• Update and post internal company news with approved materials.
• Distribute pre-approved communication materials to staff via email for benefits program, RRSP, etc.
• Support ongoing projects, including benefit enrollment form audits and job description updates.
• Provide general administrative assistance and support as needed.
• Assist Social Committee events as needed

What you bring to the table:

• Experience: Previous customer service, or administrative experience is an asset
• Education: Currently enrolled in a Business Administration, or Human Resources, or related degree/diploma program, with at least two years of coursework completed.
• Skills:

• Excellent written and verbal communication in English; bilingual in French is an asset
• Strong organizational skills and keen attention to detail are essential for this role.
• The ability to maintain confidentiality is crucial.
• Experience with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, is also an asset.
• Comfortable multitasking
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast paced environment
• Ability to work independently and in a collaborative environment as part of the HR Team

Work Environment: This position requires a person to sit for prolonged periods of time. Manual dexterity is required to perform this position. General office environment with some exposure to laboratory environment. Compliance with established safety procedures and appropriate PPE.
