We are currently seeking an experienced
HR & Office Coordinator
to join our team and contribute to the effective delivery of HR and administrative services company-wide.
Position Overview
The HR & Office Coordinator will be responsible for managing day-to-day HR operations and office administration functions for both Aurora Furniture Manufacturing Ltd. and the broader Amax Group. Based in Calgary, this role also includes remote support for our teams in BC and ON.
The ideal candidate will bring proven HR experience, strong organizational abilities, and excellent interpersonal skills.
Key Responsibilities
HR Functions
General HR & Reporting
Report to the CFO on HR projects and administrative matters
Align HR activities with company goals and policies
Recruitment & Onboarding
Post job advertisements and screen candidates
Schedule and coordinate interviews
Facilitate onboarding and orientation for new hires
Employee Relations
Serve as a point of contact for employee inquiries
Support issue resolution and promote a positive workplace culture
Performance Management
Assist with the performance review process
Track employee development goals and plans
Support performance improvement initiatives
Training & Development
Coordinate training sessions and workshops
Maintain training records and track progress
Compensation & Benefits
Assist with benefits administration and respond to employee questions
Support salary review and compensation analysis
Assist with monthly payroll processing
Compliance & Policy
Ensure HR practices comply with all regulations
Communicate and implement policy updates
Office Administration
Manage office supplies and inventory
Coordinate with vendors and oversee service contracts
Maintain office cleanliness and functionality
Organize travel arrangements, meetings, and company events
Handle mail, deliveries, and general correspondence
Assist with office budgeting and expense tracking
Qualifications
Experience:
2-3 years of HR experience, preferably in a manufacturing or multi-site environment. Supervisory experience gained abroad is also accepted.
Education:
Diploma or higher in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
Skills:
+ Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
+ Discretion in handling sensitive information
+ Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Google Workspace
+ Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
