Robert Half Management Resources is the worldwide leader in specialized consulting and staffing services for senior-level accounting, finance, and business systems professionals.Our Ottawa area client is currently looking for a Human Resources Manager to join their team.This is a 24-month engagement with a possibility of further extension offering a Hybrid work model (4 days a week in office).The Human Resources Manager will be responsible for:-Oversee the Human Resources Function in areas such as recruitment, retention, pay and benefits, performance management, training and development, HRIS and compensation.-Act as a point of contact for management reams on HR related issues-Participation and implementation of HR related initiatives and requirements (policies & procedures and recommendations to leadership team).-Engage in union and non union related issues such as labour relations, grievances, participate in collective agreement bargaining and working with both union officials and management on various issues.-Develop and manage department budget-Participate in other projects as requiredThe ideal candidate will possess the following skills and experience:-A Bachelor\'s Degree in Human Resources Management or similar field of study-Minimum 5 years progressive experience in a union environment; ideally in the public sector-Advanced background in labour relations, performance management, job evaluation, total compensation, full cycle recruitment, organizational training and development, and occupational health and safety.-Strong analytical and problem solving skills-Ability to handle confidential and sensitive issues and maintain confidentiality-Hands on HRIS experience (Ceridian or ADP experience would be considered an asset)-Bilingualism would be considered an asset but not required for this roleRobert Half is the world\'s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
