Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Human Resources and Health & Safety Coordinator to join our administrative group. In this role, you will play a crucial part in supporting various HR functions, including processing the hourly payroll, recruiting shop employees, employee relations, and training & development. You will also be responsible to Coordinate our Health & Safety program. This position will be 3 days at our location and 2 days at Goldec Hamm's, our sister company in Red Deer.

The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills and a solid understanding of HR and Health and Safety regulations and procedures.

Duties

Assist in the recruitment process by sourcing candidates, working with the recruiting Supervisors to schedule interviews, and managing applicants tracking. Support orientation of new hires, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures. Maintain accurate employee records as well as processing the hourly payroll using Dayforce, Ceridian and Excel tracking sheets. Administer the Health & Safety programs and be an integral member of the H&S Committee. Coordinate Health and Safety training, following MHSA recommendations and programs. Address employee inquiries regarding HR policies, benefits, and procedures to foster positive employee relations. Collaborate with all levels of management on change management initiatives to support organizational growth.

Experience

Proven experience in human resources management as well as coordinating a structured Health and Safety program. Strong computer skills including MS Excel, Words, and Powerpoint. Familiarity with Sage 300, Dayforce and Ceridian would a be strong asset. Strong data entry skills with attention to detail for maintaining accurate records. Excellent communication skills with the ability to build relationships across all levels of the organization. Knowledge of employment as well as health and safety laws and regulations are a plus. A proactive approach to problem-solving with strong organizational skills.

Pay: $60,000.00-$75,000.00 per year
