L82 Construction Ltd. was incorporated in 1982 and is a heavy civil construction company in Southwestern Ontario, specializing in the installation of sewers, watermains and road works as well as site preparation and project management. Our organization has grown considerably through the strength of its employees and management, attention to detail and of course, quality workmanship. Much of the work L82 undertakes involve complex issues such as environmental issues, traffic management, public relations erosion and sediment control. We are currently seeking a highly motivated Human Resources / safety Coordinator to join our team.
Typical responsibilities may include but are not limited to:
Will be actively involved in recruiting process.
Sourcing and screening of candidate
Schedule and attend in-person/online interviews
Conduct reference check and provide feedback
Facilitate onboarding process for all new recruits
Provide training to hourly employees on Human Relation / Health and Safety processes and policies during the onboarding process.
Maintain constructive relations with Unions representative and Management Team
Utilize job boards, sourcing tools and Human Resources techniques to attract and identify candidates
Utilize and mange social media presence in the recruiting process
Provide effective support to Management and actively work to achieve continuous improvement in the areas of the Human Relations/Health and Safety function
Other assignments and projects as HR/H&S and business needs dictate
Develop and execute health and safety plans in the workplace according to level guidelines.
Prepare and implement policies to establish a culture of health and safety.
Conduct risk assessments and enforce preventative measures.
Initiate and organize Occupational health and safety training for all team members.
Requirements
Proven experience in human resources, health and safety or related field is required.
Post-Secondary Education in Human Resources / Health and Safety Management or related discipline
Effective leadership and interpersonal skills
Strong organizational and time management skills
Strategic minded and results-oriented
Easily builds trust and confidence with people in an authentic and genuine fashion
Ability to manage multiple HR / H&S initiatives in a fast-paced environment
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $60,000.00-$80,000.00 per year
