Seeking an HR Generalist with union and HRIS experience who is eager to work in a fast paced, ever changing work environment. Reporting to the Human Resources Manager, Canada, the position is responsible for performing a range of HR initiatives and programs supporting departmental managers for our Richmond and Calgary locations. The duties consist of recruiting, policies, training, employee relations, safety, benefits and other HR programs. Job Duties: \xc2\xb7 Responsible for full cycle recruitment, orientation/onboarding. \xc2\xb7 HRIS (Human Resources Information System) and Time and Attendance administration duties. \xc2\xb7 Labour relations and collective agreement administration for our Richmond location. \xc2\xb7 Health & Safety \xe2\x80\x93 administer, track and communicate modified duties/RTW program. \xc2\xb7 Monitor attendance and absenteeism.

• Maintain a sustainable relationship with union officials and oversee the adherence to wages, working hours and other regulations.

\xc2\xb7 Ensure the completion of compensation and benefits documentation; enrollments, changes and terminations. \xc2\xb7 Provide general information and assistance internally and externally over the phone, electronically and in person.

• Plan and organize staff events and recreational activities.
• Keep job descriptions current.

\xc2\xb7 Help to ensure organization wide compliance with policies, procedures and applicable regulations. \xc2\xb7 Communicate to internal stakeholders in Human Resources policies, procedures, laws, standards and regulations. \xc2\xb7 General human resources administrative tasks. \xc2\xb7 Locate filed materials upon request, ensuring that materials are given only to authorized parties. \xc2\xb7 Conduct exit interviews \xc2\xb7 Complete other duties and projects as assigned. Skills and Abilities Required:

• Minimum two (2) years\xe2\x80\x99 experience in Human Resources.
• Experience in a unionized environment a must.
• Previous HRIS experience desirable, preferably ADP Workforce Now.
• Maintain an approachable and appropriate attitude when interacting with all levels of personnel in a rapidly changing environment.
• Demonstrated ability to provide beneficial recommendations to solve HR related issues.
• Able to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast paced environment.
• Able to deal with people sensitively, tactfully, diplomatically, and professionally at all times.
• Able to work efficiently as a part of a team as well as independently.
• Presentation skills required.
• Must be dependable, able to follow instructions and respond to management direction.
• Computer literacy in MS Office (Outlook, Excel & PowerPoint).
• Good analytical and problem solving skills.
• Able to interpret and implement company policies and procedures.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
